Why this part is valuable as a core
Housing, armature, field frame and gearing are usually reusable. Carbon brushes, bearings, solenoid and one-way clutch are replaced.
The variety of variants is large: number of teeth, direction of rotation, flange and output must match exactly. That is why we identify every starter by OE or manufacturer number.

Questions about this part
Do you buy starters with a defective solenoid?
Yes. The solenoid is renewed or tested during remanufacturing anyway.
Do you also take 24 V starters from trucks?
Yes, commercial vehicle starters are in particular demand.
Do you pay per unit or by weight?
Per unit and part number. Type-sorted cores with a legible type plate achieve the best price.
